9 month check up

This is moments after Oly received her flu shot and H1N1 shot, one in each hambone!

Olympia is still really tall for her age. The doctor looked very befuddled when she told us this.

Baby walker

Wait for the good part towards the end. (turn up the volume. This is pretty strenuous for my little baby)

Olympia can not wait until January! Her Aunt will be around permanently to spoil her. Here are some photos from Carol's visit a couple of months back.

Halloween

The whole album is on Facebook and is fully worth checking out.

Well, if we want to be technical about it...

Seven months?! Really? Seven months already?
In commemoration, let's look at mommy when you were really just seven months old.

Fresh Minty Feeling

This is Olympia "brushing her teeth" for the first time. We've taken to whisking a wet washcloth around her mouth after every meal. She loooves it. Now, just opens her mouth and sticks out her tongue whenever she sees a towel! What a special baby.

Look at the intensity!

Usually, we just take Oly out in comfy pajamas but for Labor Day we wanted her to look a little special.

She spent her whole stroll trying to eat her pink leather shoe. This is why we can't put her in nice things! Oh well.

My baby!

Sausage arms and ham bone legs!

Hello Sir Lobster!

We had to cut the meeting short because Olympia tried to tear its limbs off.

Already, she is fearless.

Oh a sailor's life is the life for me

We recently spent a weekend doing the touristy thing at the US Constitution. Even though I grew up there, it was fun to approach it with a new sense of wonder. We staged photos, bumbled around with the stroller, and considered buying a souvenir sailor's hat for Oly. It was fabulous.

Whats the story morning glory?

Mama! Those are not words

Hello! We just got back from an amazing weekend in Maine and there are plenty of pictures to post but unfortunately I'm busy and so it'll have to wait. Meanwhile, here is a video.

Commuter Baby

Olympia loves trains. Except when she is overtired. Can you tell that she is on the verge of losing it?

So easily entertained

Hands and feet are all a baby needs.

By the Aquarium

Mama looks silly but baby looks like Queen of the Sea!

Birth to Five Months

Olympia has practically reached the car seat's weight capacity.

It's so crazy to think that in a month she'll be sitting up and come Christmas we'll have to baby proof the apt.

Babies Bring Joy to the World!

Mark and I live next to a Russian elderly home. The old women like to smile and laugh at Olympia dangling from her Baby Bjorn. When we passed by the other day, they cooed, fawned, and exclaimed in thick Russian accents, "Million dollar cheeks!! Each one of them!"

Our cheeks match!

Cousins Braden and Olympia spent some quality time together over the weekend.
I wish I could come up with some witty captions but the truth is I can't even begin to imagine what's going through those bald bulbous heads.

(wake up)
(let's play)

(hands off!)

(hush, baby)

Busting out of her 6-9 month coat

Cuteness #1: Olympia in her new pink jacket!

Cuteness #2: Daddy putting on her tiny tiny socks.

Aspiration

After much inspiration from recent culinary delights

Olympia decided that she wanted to be a Top Chef. Mama mia!

A Handful

Sorry I've been delinquent with posts! To be honest, I've just been busy enjoying my baby! Everyday there is something new to be discovered. Today Olympia learned to sing and by sing I mean screech her way through varying vocal notes.

Her batting has evolved to full on grasping and clutching though I quickly learned not to overestimate this ability. Moments after this photo, baby dropped the apple on her face and cried cried cried.
